Though we’ve just a day to explore Osaka, we never missed to visit Osaka Castle. Actually, aside from Universal Studios Japan, we have just visited Osaka Castle and Dotonburi. No more, no less. Too little time to explore this beautiful city, I know. 😦
How to get here:
Ride either Tanimachi Subway Line or Chuo Subway Line and alight at Tanimachi 4-chrome Station or you can ride JR Loop Line and alight at Osakajokoen Station, whichever is more convenient from your hotel.
We’ve actually chose a wrong exit to Osaka Castle that it took us a loooooooot of walking and climbing stairs. I don’t recommend you to use exit 1, unless you want some adventures. Haha.
The premise requires no admission fee. However if you visit Nishinomaru Garden and enter inside the Osaka Castle, then a fee of JPY 200 or JPY 600, respectively is need to be paid. The park is one of Osaka’s most popular hanami spot during the cherry blossom season.
