Britannia Group of Islands

Britannia Islands, located in San Agustin, province of Surigao del Sur is one of the must-visit tourist spots in the said province. Apart from Tinuy-an Falls and Enchanted River, this grand group of islands will surely make your stay in Surigao breathtaking.

So from a good night sleep in the beautiful Britannia Islands Resort, we started our day with a sumptuous breakfast, prepared by Big Daddi’s. You see we were that spoiled-bratt tourists of Big Daddi’s Travel and Tours.

After which, we changed our outfits from PJs to swim wears. We then set sail and started our island hopping in Hagonoy Island. This is my favorite among all the islands we toured that day. Its powdery white sand and crystal clear water really caught my eye. Not to mention, we took more than a hundred photos from this island and took so many jump shots.

Next, we went to Naked Island. As the name suggest, it is naked because there is nothing there but powdery sand.

Third, we went to Boslon Island. This is where most tourists stay as it is, let say umm, most commercialized island. There are also lots of rock formation and trees in this island. Local sellers of Surigao souvenirs also stay on this island.

Also located near Boslon is a twin island called Paglangagan Islands. Lucky enough during our tour, it was low tide; hence we just walked to reach it.

Lastly but definitely not the least, we went to Hiyor Hiyoran Island. This is quite a different island. It felt like this island was abandoned. Maybe because of the tree skeleton we found there. Hahaha. Nonetheless, the view was spectacular.

We docked at the resort at 12:00noon since we plan to be travel back to Davao by 1:00pm. A half-day island hopping is enough to tour this spectacular group of islands.
